Bilingual Service Technician

Primary Function:

Individual will be the first-line field contact and must represent the Company in a positive, professional manner at all times.  Respond directly and immediately to customer technical needs as they relate to American Augers equipment.  Actions include operations, safety & maintenance training, commissioning of equipment and troubleshooting. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Coordinate corrective actions internally and externally.

Communicate corrective actions to customers.

Writes and/or communicates trip report and failure analysis information to customer service manager.

Assist with coordination and processing of warranty returns and claims.

Support training courses at factory or customer site.

Apply knowledge to assist with typical troubleshooting and failure investigation analysis.

Support 24-7 technical support hotline.

Provide technical support to sales function.

Work Activities:

Organize, plan and prioritize work.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic problems and determine how to correct them, using blueprints, electrical and hydraulic schematics, technical, operations and service repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.

Train customers in safety, setup and operation of equipment.

Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic and hydraulic testing devices including voltmeter, ammeter or ohmmeter, hydraulic gauge and flow meter.

Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions.

Communicate with Supervisors, peers or subordinates.

Handle and move objects.

Align or adjust clearance for proper fit using published data.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED

Must be fluent in both English and Spanish

Prefer minimum of 5 years of experience/knowledge of American Augers equipment operation and maintenance.

Perform general physical activities including move or fit heavy objects.

Current driver’s license

Eligible for international travel passport

Operate vehicles, mechanized devices, or equipment.

Computer skills, including Microsoft Office or equivalent software
