West Salem, Ohio - American Augers has expanded its Maxi-Rig product offering to now include the DD-210.
The DD-210 continues American Augers tradition of providing reliable and versatile directional drilling systems that gives the operator the confidence in working with equipment from an experienced manufacturer.
The DD-210 is equipped with a Caterpillar C-9 300 HP Tier III diesel engine, and a self propelled travel system on excavator tracks. The carriage system is made up of a rack and pinion, (6) pinion drive with adjustable force limiter, and 210,000 lbs of maximum thrust/pullback. The advantage of the DD-210 is the high rotary torque, which can turn large diameter reamers in long bores due to the maximum 25,000 ft-lb rotary drive system, and comes equipped with a (2) pinion drive with infinitely variable torque.
The standard unit is also designed with field proven pipe handling with a drill mounted hydraulic 8,000 lbs. (3,629 kg) capacity crane, open top wrenches with a 10” (245mm) separation, 60,000 ft-lbs (80,000 Nm) of maximum breakout torque, 25,000 ft-lbs (33,705 Nm) of maximum makeup force, 3” fluid course, which permits 650 gallon (2,460 L)/per minute flow rate, 10° - 18° variable drill angle, and utilizes Range II drill pipe.
